Here is a Sibelius Sounds realisation of the first movement of my '4 incidental musings for String Orchestra'.
The relevant musing is ' I too, Sir Edward, have walked The Malverns. I have pondered by your grave...'
However, I own up to the fact that the images are NOT all from the Malverns , but also the Long Mynd. I may remedy this when I have time to wander there again!

The company that I had my website with was taken over by another company who rehashed the way everything has to be added in a less than user-frendly way. It has taken me a long time to work out how to do things and so the website has been down and not updated for some time. Apologies if I have therefore not responded to a message - I haven't received them!!

An excellent concert last night at St Mary's Church, Old Swinford in Stourbridge, As well as Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in the piano and harmonium version the choir performed my Missa Brevis. I was pleased with the reception and many thanks to Richard Hall for providing a supporting accompaniment for the choir.

Before the pandemic I discussed with local composer Paul Henley the possibility of setting up a Shropshire-based Composers' Cooperative which would allow us to help each other promote, perform and disseminate our music more widely. two documents that explore a possible vision of a way forward can be found HERE.
If you feel such a group may be of benefit, please do get in touch if you write music of what could broadly be described as classical or serious in nature . Now the pandemic is lifting to some extent (hopefully!), we may be able to make some progress this year.

I am delighted that the Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra are playing my 'Song of the Shropshire Hills' on 19th March 2022 at Wolverhampton Grammar School. This Orchestral tone poem was originally written for Richard White and the Ludlow Orchestra and premiered in St. Laurence's Church in 2005. If you enjoy classical music, it would be lovely to see you there. The remainder of the programme is an enticing mix of tuneful and charming English music, some of which you will recognise from radio, film and television!
